Haven’s Community Conversations Series is back! For February through May we’ll be inviting folks in the Haven community to watch or read something during the month, and gather on the last Sunday evening in Zoom to discuss, facilitated by a member of our community.
This March, Connie Barker will be leading us in a discussion of the new film, currently playing in theaters, Jesus Revolution. The film tells the story of the Jesus movement that started in Southern California in the 1970s, a movement which has influenced much of the contemporary church and is part of the heritage of communities like Haven. However, the film only represents part of the story. Join Connie and others as we discuss together what the film shared, as well as what it crucially leaves out.
We will meet to discuss the film in Zoom from 7:30 - 9 pm on March 26. Zoom information will be available to subscribers of our email newsletter, or can be received by contacting Leah Martens.
Interested in seeing the film together with others from the Haven community? Join us for a viewing in Daly City on March 18th.
