We will be returning once again to St. Dorothy's Rest in Sonoma (pictured above) where we have enjoyed a wonderful time together in past years. Whether you're new to Haven or have been around awhile, you are encouraged to join us. We hope that this year's retreat will be an opportunity to reconnect after the separation of Covid, build and deepen relationships, share some spiritual experiences, have fun together, and consider together what we want Haven to be going forward.
The Retreat will include:
musical worship
envisioning of Haven together
unique spiritual experiences
fun activities for kids
"Tap In" time with Jeanne for Haven Youth (6th grade and up)
outdoor recreation: hiking, swimming in the nearby Russian River, outdoor sports and games, campfires
late night conversations and hangouts by the fire place (with board games, beer, wine, and snacks, etc.)
the return of the Haven Talent Show (Complete with access to the amazing St. Dorothy's Rest Costume Loft!!)

We know gathering together for an extended period of time still feels tricky at this point in the pandemic, so with that in mind, here are some answers on how we're thinking about Covid protocols to keep people safe.
How will gathering as a group at the retreat be different this year?
This year we're planning to take advantage of St. Dorothy's outdoor spaces as much as possible. We encourage everyone in attendance to bring warm layers so we can spend much of our time outside. Masks will be optional in outdoor spaces, but as always, we encourage everyone to be mindful of others comfort levels and needs. When going indoors in community spaces, we ask you to wear a mask.
Will we be eating indoors? Eating will take place still on the "dining porches" in the main hall. These porches are lined with windows, which will all be open, so it is a fairly open-air setting. There are around a dozen tables, so folks who'd prefer to be distanced from others while eating may do so.
How will the food be served? In the past, food was served through a self-service buffet. This year, groups are given the opportunity to appoint servers who plate the food for each meal (wearing masks and gloves and behind a protective plexiglass shield), so we can take turns serving one another in this way.
What about vaccination status? To keep everyone safe, we respectfully request all guests be vaccinated, unless ineligible because of age, or because vaccination is medically inappropriate at this time.
Can I just come for part of the retreat? Yes, pro-rate options are available if you'd like to just come for the day on Saturday or to stay for only one evening.
